About the Artist: Hi! I'm Deven Rue, the official cartographer for Critical Role, Beadle & Grimm, WotC, Steamforged Games, and many more. I spend my days drawing and managing my business, while mornings are for relaxing with my cats and evenings are dedicated to gaming. I love creating magical, often dark and creepy spaces, and I enjoy developing stories, histories, and lore for the maps I create, even if they don't always see the light of day.

I’m a traditionally trained artist, starting with paper before moving to digital, and I have experience in painting and making paper props for theatre productions. Despite not having formal art education due to visual impairment, I've mastered various techniques through self-study and practice. I'm also an Earth Science nerd, a collector of skulls and miniature coffins, a dance enthusiast, and a lover of cooking. My workspace resembles a captain's quarters, reflecting my pirate heart, and I mostly play druids or clerics in games, enjoying a good villainous campaign.
